Poro Feria

Heargi: a reindeer that has been domesticated to pull people in sleds.
Gabba: a reindeer with a pure white coat

In Sapmi, reindeer are one traditional lifeway of the Saami peoples. 20% of Saamis today are involved in reindeer herding and have been for over a thousand years.

Reindeer: they taste similar to American elk. Mmmmm...Blitzen!

A Saami proverb says "give the first bite to your dog, it does more work than you".

In Sapmi, dogs are used for reindeer herding. Saamis are very proud of their dogs.
